I went to Dawson College from 1985 to 1987 at the same campus where today's shootings took place. My initial reaction to today's reports was shock, then attempted rationalization - are gun control laws tight enough, could someone at Dawson have picked up on the fact that there was a pyschopath(s) in their ranks? But in the end, there's nothing that makes sense to explain how something like this could happen. The human animal is capable of the most extreme examples of both cruelty and kindness. I don't know if we (as a species) we'll ever eliminate the extremes. My heart goes out to the victims and families. I can't imagine what is must have been like. I can, however, remember the locations in some detail from my time in College. Ugh...
